29 GOLDS AND 107 SILVERS AWARDED AT THE NORTHWEST ADDY COMPETITION
BOISE, ID – Judging for the Northwest ADDY Awards was held in Boise, Idaho, April 3-5. The judges for the competition were Mark Carlson, Senior Director, US Marketing Creative for McDonald’s Corporation; Jeff Olsen, Chief Creative Officer for Rare Method; Jim Mathis, Creative Director for ADwerks and Amy Hodgins, Creative Director at MRM Worldwide in New York. The judges evaluated over 700 entries in this year’s competition for the Northwest ADDY Awards.

DDB Seattle was awarded Best of Show Broadcast for their Television spot “Garden Wedding” for the Equality California Institute.  Copacino+Fujikado, Seattle, WA,  was awarded Best of Show Print for their campaign, “Out is In” for REI and Best of Show New Media was awarded to DDB Seattle  for “Piping  Cold” for McDonald’s of Western Washington.

Best of Show in the Student category went to Heidi Jantz from Spokane Falls Community College for her wine label.
The Northwest ADDY Awards is an annual creative competition sponsored by District XI of the America Advertising Federation (AAF); the advertising industry’s largest trade organization. District XI is comprise of local clubs in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.
The Northwest ADDY Awards are the second tier of a three-tiered national competition sponsored by AAF. The winners at this competition have earned the right to proceed onto national judging which a national judging panel will hold in Washington D.C.
